SKC437 - 49er Minors: Community Outreach: Service Hours for Middle School
Course Overview
A Service As Action (SA) activity is anything that benefits other people or groups. The International Baccalaureate Program states these activities engage students with others in a shared commitment towards the common good. Meaningful service requires the understanding of a central issue, such as poverty, literacy or pollution; and the issue proves the need for the service. This develops the students’ ability to have open, clear, and collaborative communication with the community and/or individuals concerned. Campers will perform service on campus each day and will receive the signatures needed to submit to their respective schools.
Parents: Please be sure to send your camper with their individual school's required forms in order for our staff to sign off on service hours completed!
