SKC237 - Niner Academy: Leadership Institute
Course Overview
"A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent."
- Douglas MacArthur, US Army General
Our summer Leadership Institute for rising grades 9-12 will serve as a spring board for teens to learn more about themselves and their vision, while honing critical leadership skills for success in their future. Activities will range from team-based challenges that focus on cohesion, morale, trust and problem-solving to individual activities that require introspection, reflection, and self-assessment of values and goals. The week will cap off with a focus on service learning and community engagement and all participants will earn a certificate of completion for UNC Charlotte’s Niner Academy Leadership Institute.
