A Creative Tech Camp for Little Builders and Big Imaginations
Looking for a fun, age-appropriate way to introduce your child to technology and storytelling? LEGO® Films and Stop Motion / Young Game Designers is designed for children in grades 1–2 who love to build, pretend, and create. Campers spend the week turning their ideas into short movies and simple games using kid-friendly tools, guided instruction, and lots of hands-on fun.
Students work in pairs or small teams for most activities, practicing sharing, communication, and collaboration in a supportive environment.
LEGO® Films and Stop Action: Make Your LEGOs Come to Life
Make your LEGOs come to life! Campers bring in their favorite action figures or LEGO® creations and work with friends to create a short film. Whether they want to recreate a scene from Star Wars or design a world of their own, this class brings their dreams to the screen.
What Parents Should Know
- Campers bring LEGO® sets and/or action figures from home.
- All other filming tools and equipment are provided.
- Students learn simple storytelling, scene planning, and how stop-motion works (one picture at a time!).
- Campers work in pairs or teams for most of the program.
- Student-created films are shared on a password-protected website for families to view.
- Returning students can take on more advanced projects that build on previous years.
Young Game Designers: Build and Play Games You Create
This beginner game development course is designed to get elementary-aged students excited about technology through hands-on, engaging learning activities. Campers will recreate classic video games while exploring level design and digital arts concepts using intuitive, child-friendly software.
