Course Overview
A Hands-On Cooking & Baking Camp for Middle Schoolers
With the popularity of shows like MasterChef Junior, more kids than ever are excited to learn how to cook. Culinary Camp is designed for students in grades 5–8 who want to build real kitchen skills, try new foods, and gain confidence preparing meals.
Campers explore the basics of cooking, baking, and nutrition through interactive lessons—and then put those skills into action by making a new dish each day in a real campus kitchen.
Cook in a Real Campus Kitchen
This camp takes place in the Bistro kitchen located in the UNC Charlotte Student Union, giving students an authentic, hands-on culinary experience in a professional-style environment.

- Prepare a new recipe each day—from savory dishes to sweet baked treats.
- Practice kitchen safety and proper food handling in a guided setting.
