UNC Charlotte Continuing Education Lean Six Sigma Offerings

UNC Charlotte provides online Lean Six Sigma certifications for all belt levels. What sets us apart from the other training providers is our ability to involve you as the participant. Learning is active. You don’t simply sit and listen to lecture. You are coached throughout the certification process and have access to communicate with our instructor.

The belt levels offered through UNC Charlotte are:

White Belt Certification

This two-hour, online program is self-paced and provides a brief overview of three of the most-widely used total quality management methodologies in the industry today. No previous belt required prior to registering for the White Belt.

Yellow Belt Certification

This 7-hour, online program is self-paced and covers how to apply DMAIC, DMADV, and Lean methodologies and the skills needed to apply tools that help make improvements at the team level. No previous belt required prior to registering for the Yellow Belt.

Orange Belt Certification

This 7-hour, online program is self-paced and covers the critical leadership skills and competencies needed to build and lead powerful Six Sigma teams in a domestic or global environment. No previous belt required prior to registering for the Orange Belt.

Green Belt Certification

This online program covers Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools used to improve existing processes or design new processes and includes coaching each week for up to 13 weeks by a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. No previous belt required prior to registering for the Green Belt.

Black Belt Certification

This online program provides advanced training of four of the most-widely used total quality management methodologies in industry today (Lean, DMAIC, DMADV, and Agile) and includes 13 weeks of coaching. Green Belt required prior to registering for the Black Belt.

Master Black Belt Certification

Participants will gain the Leadership, Project Coaching, and Data Analysis skills needed to mentor Black Belts and Green Belts through their Lean Six Sigma projects and includes coaching until your Capstone project is complete. Black Belt required prior to registering for the Master Black Belt.
