New Ventures Scholarship Application (Instructional Designer) Spring 2024

The New Ventures Scholarship was designed by the UNC Charlotte School of Professional Studies to recognize and celebrate individuals who are lifelong learners looking to explore and deepen their professional knowledge in ways that will benefit themselves and those around them.

Through this scholarship, SPS seeks to enable passionate and dedicated individuals to enroll in our Instructional Designer Certificate to further their education, enhance their design skills and contribute to positive change in the training and development industry. The Instructional Designer Certificate is a professional development certificate program designed for individuals seeking to build or expand their knowledge and experience within the training and development field.

Scholarship Details

• For the spring 2024 start date of January 15, 2024, the scholarship will award $1,125 to selected individuals who are newly enrolled in the Instructional Designer Certificate on or after September 22, 2023.
• Scholarship applications will be reviewed and responded to on a rolling basis. The application deadline is December 31, 2023. All scholarship recipients will be notified by January 10, 2024.
• An ideal scholarship candidate is someone who:
  • Demonstrates that they have the ability to successfully complete the Instructional Designer Certificate.
  • Can describe their plans to utilize this training to improve the training and development in their organization, other organizations or the general field of training and development.
• New Ventures Scholarship award amount is not transferable to other courses or course dates. This scholarship can not be combined or layered with other discounts, incentives or scholarships. – i.e., the single best discount is applied but multiple discounts are not able to be layered on top of one another.
