Building Bridges Scholarship

The Building Bridges Scholarship was designed by UNC Charlotte’s School of Professional Studies to recognize and celebrate individuals who exemplify inclusive leadership and make a significant impact in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within their profession.

Through this scholarship, SPS seeks to enable passionate and dedicated individuals qualified to enroll in our EMS Management Institute to further their education, enhance their leadership skills, and contribute to positive change in their communities. The EMS Management Institute is designed for Supervisors, Training Officers, Administrators, Senior Paramedics, and future leaders within emergency medical services

Scholarship Details

• For the fall 2024 start date, the scholarship will award $1,000 for two participants in the EMS Management Institute.
• The application deadline is July 1, 2024. Winners will be notified on Aug 1, 2024.
• An ideal scholarship candidate is someone who:
  • Demonstrates that they have the ability to successfully complete a certificate in the EMS Management Institute.
  • Can describe their plans to mentor or support other underrepresented individuals pursuing a career in their field.
  • Can demonstrate leadership in fostering an inclusive and diverse environment within their organization or community.
