Course Overview

Got a little library lover or bookworm at home? At Library Camp, young readers can celebrate their love for stories while discovering what makes libraries so magical! Throughout the week, campers will create, organize, and operate their very own mini libraries, learning what goes on behind the scenes to keep these amazing spaces running. Campers will: Create their own books and literary-inspired art projects. Lead a storytime with their favorite picture books. Organize a library sleepover for stuffies (shhh—no loud reading!) Design their dream library from top to bottom. Learn how to find books they’ll love and help others do the same. Have fun with Reader’s Theater and storytelling games. Visit local libraries for inspiration and behind-the-scenes tours. By the end of the week, campers will see libraries as places of imagination, creativity, and community—and maybe even dream of becoming a librarian someday!
