Course Overview

The Vibe Coding 5-week course will focus on AI-assisted tool-building for learners comfortable exploring new tools; no coding required. Learners will develop the judgment, process, and practical skills needed to identify the right problem, scope an achievable build, create and iterate on working prototypes, and decide whether to launch, maintain, or hand off their work.

Throughout the course, learners practice a repeatable five-step framework: problem identification, planning and context setting, execution, validation, and communication and management. Learners will develop the product sense to recognize what should be built, what should not be built, and what requires engineering support. By the end of the course, learners will have built practical outputs such as a prototype, web app, and monitoring tool, along with the documentation needed to explain what they do, how they work, and what should happen next. By the end of the course, participants will have created real-world projects, such as a prototype, web application, or monitoring tool, along with documentation that explains how the solution works and what the next steps should be.

Course Outline

Participants will learn how to:

  • Use a repeatable framework to identify business problems that AI can help solve.
  • Scope a tool build, including user need, outcome, success criteria, constraints, and MVP, and translate that context into clear AI prompts for planning and development (or build).
  • Turn an idea into a clear plan for a tool or application.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to build and improve a working prototype — without writing code.
  • Test, refine, and determine when a solution is ready to launch or should be handed off to a technical team.

Ideal for: Business professionals, managers, analysts, project leaders, and anyone interested in building AI-powered solutions without a technical background.

Learners will gain hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools to plan, build, deploy, and share web-based tools and prototypes. While the course is designed to build transferable skills across platforms, learners will work with the following tools* during the course:

  • Lovable for early, low-friction web app building and rapid prototyping.
  • Claude for AI-assisted planning, prompting, troubleshooting, and build support, including an overview of Claude Chat, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code.
  • GitHub for version control, code management, and maintaining a record of project changes.
  • Vercel for deploying and sharing web apps through a live URL.
  • Google Analytics for basic usage tracking and understanding whether a deployed tool is being used as intended.
