Scholarship Details

The Anne Spychala Family Charitable Foundation Scholarship for Continuing Education was established to support individuals who participate in specific UNC Charlotte certificate programs in order to switch careers or improve their career potential.

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled in the full certificate program at the time of application and remain enrolled throughout the scholarship award period. Recipients will be notified after the program begins, and awards will be applied at that time. No discounts may be combined with this scholarship.

Selection Considerations
Priority will be given to individuals who are supporting their families and whose continued education will enhance their quality of life while demonstrating that it’s never too late to learn.

An ideal recipient will demonstrate determination and perseverance; successfully balance family, work, and education; show a commitment to advancing gender equality; and serve as a positive ambassador for the UNC Charlotte School of Professional Studies and the career pathways it creates.

Award Details

  • Two $1,000 scholarships for the Medical Coding Certificate
  • One $1,000 scholarship for the Meeting & Event Planning Certificate
  • All awards apply to March 2026 programs only and are non-renewable.
